Once in a lifetime you will experience the wedding of your dreams. When you have your wedding at Candle Lit Way, you can make that dream come true. I's like the church in all the movies, with the smiling bride bouncing down the stairs and handsome groom right behind.

For most weddings Candle Lit Way is just the right size, not too big and not too small. While we live in a culture that is now known for big churches, there something that looks missing when all your guest sparsely fill out the front rows of a 500, 1000 or even 5000 seat sanctuary. At Candle Lit Way your guests will be able to see each other, talk to each other, and your pews will be full. For decades upon decades, families came to this little church and set together. It just has that family feel.

Candle Lit Way is about transforming beginnings into dreams that come true, and it started in the heart of its owners Dan and Mary Ellen Oberender. Living just a little bit North of Candle Lit Way, I've had the privilege to watch the transformation of this historic church over the years. Like many small town churches that have been vacated and left empty, Dan and Mary Ellen saw more than an abandoned building. With great personal investment and their own dedicated resources they have turned this wedding treasure into a special place that is now occupied and full of love and life. And so it is with love, almost everyone has been left alone and empty, but when the love of your life invests in you with complete dedication, committing all their resources, time and attention, your love and your heart becomes occupied and full of life.

While many may have looked at the old church with it's paint chipping and pealing, and made the assessment that it was something from the past, Dan and Mary looked into the future and saw beauty and passion. With the same blood, sweat and tears that it takes to make a marriage work forever, they worked together, scraping, cleaning, repainting, planting, loving.

As they worked together restoring Candle Lit Way, God has blessed them in their marriage as well. It is from that love and passion, that the Oberender's serve Brides and Grooms. Out of all the possible locations that you can have your wedding at, in our assessment you will not find an equal to Candle Lit Way in personal attention and involvement.

Because of the love they've invested in Candle Lit Way, you will find that Dan and Mary Ellen aren't just in the "wedding business". Each wedding is special. They take an active role from beginning to end. They want to laugh with you, cry with you and share your excitement to the resounding ring of the wedding bells at Candle Lit Way. To make sure your wedding is a dream come true, we would suggest you consider your wedding at Candle Lit Way.
