Culture, Class and Beauty

The Temple of Performing Arts is an exquisite setting and one of my preferred venues at which to officiate weddings. Every couple that we have had the privilege to unite in marriage at the Temple of Performing Arts has been a pleasure to work with, indicative of class, character and sophisticated choices for their wedding and reception. Without question it is a great location for a wedding, and the preferred choice of many great couples.

Our clients have found the Temple to be the ideal place when many of their guests are attending from out of town. Nestled in the heart of Des Moines, the Temple of Performing Arts meets everyone's expectations, with facilities for the wedding ceremony and the reception at the same location. Guests don't have to negotiate and get directions from one facility to another and the numerous nearby hotels provide overnight accommodations for visitors to Des Moines.

The attention to detail and beauty that is provided by the Des Moines Embassy Club in setup, preparation and service for wedding receptions sets the bar for superior service, not to mention the taste and experience that lingers with the fine dinning and desert options they are known for.

In a practical assessment, the Recital Hall provides ample room for most ceremonies, giving everyone the opportunity to see and hear the entire ceremony. Nothing can be more frustrating than going to a wedding and not being able to hear anything. That's no problem at the Temple. Because of its purpose and design, the architecture of the Temple of Performing Arts provides a setting with great acoustics for your ceremony. In the Recital Hall, voices carry very well, even to the back rows (my wife has attended and set in the back rows verifying that assessment), although we have never used amplification equipment!

But what you will like most about the Temple of Performing Arts is its history, once neglected and left abandoned without the attention that she Jennifer and Marques wedding at the Temple of Performing Arts jpeg photodeserved, the Temple is a living testimony to what beauty can be found in the heart of those that are willing to invest time, resources and attention with love. Many of us have been neglected and abandoned by people we thought cared, sometimes leading to great disappointment. When we find someone that we can truly trust, someone that really cares about us, and someone that we really care about; beauty, hope, inspiration and dreams can be restored just like the beauty that has been returned to the exterior of the Temple from the ground up to ornate cornices at the top. And while that exterior beauty is important, impressive and significant, it pales in comparison to the architectural beauty that lies within the Temple.

And so it can be with marriage, beauty, hope, inspiration and dreams restored, all culminating in an stunning ceremony showcasing the wedding party, the decorations, the tuxedoes and that dress, oh that dress,..astonishing and priceless magnificence,..a handsome groom and a beautiful bride, all overflowing with splendor, but notwithstanding the evermore important beauty that is found deep within their hearts.

If you are choosing the Temple of Performing Arts for your wedding ceremony, we hope you count us in and we can share in the elegance and beauty of your celebration at one of Des Moines' finest facilities.
